A tough high level coast to coast walk traversing through the highest and wildest parts of Wales from Cardiff to Conwy. A distance of 275 miles (440km), with an ascent of 61540 feet (18742 metres) (double Pennine way).
Future designation as a national trail is still in limbo, although the Ramblers' Association strongly advocates recognition of the Cambrian Way
The route is generally un-waymarked and navigation skills are essential.
